Beanie Brand Shoot

I’m baaaack with another blog post. Let me start by saying that the ‘Beanie Brand Shoot’ was a huge success. I had the privilege to once again work with my very talented brand ambassadors Marisa, Nae, and Rose. And as an added bonus, the lovely Dreangelique (Drea) agreed to model as well. I had met Drea at my previous brand shoot back in August while she was assisting the photographer on set. Initially, I had tapped Drea to do some BTS (Behind the Scenes) work, but then I decided to do that myself. So, I brought her on board to assist with the shoot instead. You know, doing prep work and helping the other models with anything they might need. Well, it just so happened that I was a model short and so, I asked Drea if she would be cool with taking a few headshots and modeling, too. She agreed. Turns out, Drea was just what I needed to make the shoot complete.
I was also excited to be reuniting with Johnathan as the photographer for the shoot. We had worked together before at the brand shoot in Sacramento and collaborated on some really dope pictures and reels on Instagram. Johnathan is really chill, and with my vision and his lens, we make a pretty good team. The focal point of the shoot was to promote the ‘Big FYA’ t-shirts and matching beanies. Just simple infinity wall pics for the website and some headshots, too. Everything was happening at Geeks Studio in San Leandro. The same spot as my prior brand shoot in August, but the studio had been upgraded with fresh paint and new camera flashes since then. I would also like to thank Mike P. for showing me some love with the studio rental. It was time to get busy and that’s exactly what we did.
I had asked the girls to come with four different looks for each color of the ‘Big FYA’ t-shirts and beanies. They could dress it up or down; shorts, jeans, skirts, whatever. This also gave the girls an opportunity to be really creative as well. The exception was Drea since she was just filling in. The entire shoot went smoothly and the vibe on set was cool. One thing about brand shoots though is that time literally flies by. Before I knew it, it was time to wrap up. Overall, the team put in solid work, and I was happy with the end results. I’m so honored to work with such amazing models who not only show up, but show out, too. Drea slayed it as well on short notice no doubt. Oh, and I would like to send a big thank you to Axel, (Rose’s hubby) for volunteering to take some photos. If you’re reading this, thank you! And last but definitely not least, a big shout out to Johnathan AKA _jcam1 for once again taking some dope ass pics. Until the next one, I’m out.
